There were concerns expressed around India captain Mithali Raj's form in the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2022 in New Zealand. Meanwhile, the veteran batter replied to her critics in style with a valiant half-century knock against a dominant Australian side on Saturday at Eden Park.
With this knock, Mithali equaled the record for most half-century-plus scores by a batter in the Women's World Cup, standing alongside former New Zealand cricketer Debbie Hockley.
India captain Mithali Raj scored her 12th fifty-plus score to go past former England batter Charlotte Edwards, who scored 11 fifty-plus scores. However, the next two batsmen on this list are former Australian Karen Rolton(9) and New Zealand batter Suzie Bates (8).
