Australia batting great Steve Smith has yet again proved his worth by smashing his 40th international hundred in the third ODI against the Kiwis on Sunday. Came into bat in a crucial situation Smith's inning helped the Aussies to reach a respectable total.

In ODIs, this was Smith's 12th ton, while he recorded 28 centuries in Test cricket. He is now just one century away from Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who has 41 centuries in his cricketing career.

With his 27th Test hundred, Joe Root now overtook David Warner (42) in the list of scoring the most International hundreds. He is now in the second position with 43 hundred in his cricket career for Australia.

Meanwhile, there is no surprise that the top player on this list is Virat Kohli, who has recorded 71 centuries in his international cricket career. The second player on this list along with Joe Root with 44 centuries. The Australian great David Warner has 43 centuries under his name.
