New Zealand is currently at the top of the group 1 points table with three points in two games. Devon Conway smashed a half-century while Finn Allen played a quickfire inning of 42 against Australia a few days ago.

Not just batting, they have also outperformed the Aussie side in bowling. Southee and Santner picked up three wickets each to destroy the run chase of the Kangaroo side. The rest three bowlers also grabbed a wicket each. The second encounter of the Kiwi side washed out due to rain as points were shared between the two. Now, they will face the Lankans on Saturday, in Sydney.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, it's time for the Lankans to bounce back in the tournament. After an easy win against the Irish side, the Lankans have handed a defeat against the Aussies in their second encounter. Sri Lanka is currently in second place in the group 1 table with two points in as many games. The next two games will be crucial for the Lankan side to stay alive in the tournament. Kushal Mendis scored a half-century against Ireland while Pathum Nissanka scored 40 against Australia in the second game.

The good news for the side is that Asalanka announces his comeback with an unbeaten knock of 38*(25) against the Aussies. The Lankan bowlers failed to defend the total of 157 set by their batsmen as they lost the game by 7 wickets and 21 balls to spare.
