India Women's team lost the third game of their New Zealand tour after Amelia Kerr smashed a ton to help his team to go over the line. Indian spinners fought hard till the end but can't resist their defeat against the white ferns. The New Zealand women have won the match by 3 wickets with one over to spare here in Queenstown on Tuesday.

After winning the toss Indian skipper Mithali Raj chooses to bat first against the hosts. However, the blue army started well as they smashed 60 runs inside the first 10 overs. Although, soon India loses their opener Shafali and then Yastika Bhatia and Meghna. They slip down to 111-3 from 61-0. Meanwhile, then skipper Mithali Raj (66* off 81) and keeper-batsman Richa Ghosh (65 off 64) put India in the driving seat and finished at 270-6 in 50 overs.
Coming to the chase, the hosts lost three wickets in quick sessions. They slipped down from 35-0 to 55-3. Meanwhile, they lost their top two including most experienced batter Suzie Bates. However, since then Amelia Kerr took the charge along with Maddy Green (52 off 61) and sooner reached the target. Amelia Kerr completed his second ODI hundred in the 47th over. However, she finished the game for the visitors in the 49th over when she smashed Indian vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur for 16 runs.

Deepti Sharma took 4 wickets for his team but can't resist the defeat. The hosts have now taken a lead of 2-0 in the ODI series with three games remaining to play. Earlier, the White Ferns have won the only T20I against the visitors on February 9.
