Qualification scenarios for the playoffs for Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore is in the 5th position of the points table with their emphatic win against Rajasthan Royals they have a chance to qualify for the playoffs. With a win of whooping 112 runs, RCB has a major boost in their net run rate and is now in a better position in the points table than Rajasthan Royals, KKR, and PBKS with a big difference in the net run rate.

Though they have won the match still their qualification is depending upon the other teams’ results. RCB are in a must-win situation now and they have to win their remaining two matches. One of the remaining two matches of RCB is an away game while the other one is a home match.

The away match of RCB is against SRH in Hyderabad, who are now in the 9th spot with four wins. The last match of RCB of the group stage will be a competitive game against GT who are at the top of the points table.

RCB still rely on other team results though they can win their remaining matches. They will hope that Punjab Kings lose one of their matches against Delhi Capitals or Rajasthan Royals. On the other hand LSG with 13 points at the fourth position and their remaining matches against MI & KKR. RCB will hope that either MI or KKR will beat LSG and in that case, RCB can qualify with 16 points.
