India Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has got out on a duck in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2021-22 match between Saurashtra and Mumbai. Cheteshwar Pujara registered a four ball duck against Mumbai after he falls out off Mohit Avasthi's delivery in the 26th over of their innings.

Meanwhile, in the same game Pujara's India batting partner Ajinkya Rahane has scored a brilliant hundred in the first innings. Rahane has scored 129 runs off 290 balls before he got out on Chirag Jani's ball.

Rahane and Pujara both were struggling in the longest format at the international level. That's why BCCI has advised both of them to score some runs in the domestic tournaments so that they can comeback with lots of confidence, which was lagging before.

Rahane proved his ability again after his hundred in the very first game against a strong side like Saurashtra. However, Pujara fails in the first innings but he still have a chance to perform better in the second innings.

We have seen both of them giving their best at the past. They last performed well in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 where Rahane scored a ton in the second Test while Pujara registered a fifty. Since then they are not getting enough runs to find their rhythm.

In the Ranji Trophy 2021-22 game Mumbai has scored 544/7 before declaring their 1st innings. Meanwhile, Saurashtra is now batting on 126/5 in their first innings and are traling by 418 runs.

Brief Scores:

Mumbai: 544/7 dec (157 Overs)
(Sarfaraz Khan 275, Rahane 129)
Saurashtra: 126/5 (39 Overs)
