Ravichandran Ashwin is definitely here to stay in white ball Cricket: Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is in all praise for the Indian bowler, Ravichandran Ashwin. The white-ball captain firmly believes in the skills and caliber of Ashwin and his significance in the Indian team.

Ashwin resumed back to the limited-overs cricket after a span of about 4 years. He initiated playing with the white ball once again with the T20 World Cup. The veteran bowler has always been a crucial part of the Indian test bowling lineup but unfortunately couldn't hold his place in the bowling lineup of the white ball Cricket.

Ashwin announced his comeback with a marvelous performance in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Later he followed his momentum in the matches against New Zealand as well. Rohit Sharma praised Ashwin and his stature as an all-rounder bowler who can turn the match at any given point in time.

Rohit said on 'Backstage with Boria', "Ashwin will give you that flexibility, you can use him in the powerplay or the middle over, so having a bowler like that – an all-rounder bowler I'd like to call – who can bowl anytime and anywhere in whatever situation, is always important."
