Trent Boult gave Rajasthan Royals an excellent start after his side put up 199/4 in 20 overs against Delhi Capitals in the IPL clash in Guwahati on Saturday. Boult removed Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey in consecutive balls in the 200 chase. Ashwin joined the party as Delhi lost three wickets and managed 38 runs in the powerplay. Warner went to slam his fifty but kept running out of partners. Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler gave Rajasthan an explosive start after being invited to bat. Shimron Hetmyer helped Rajasthan with some lusty blows toward the end of the innings to put up a huge total like that. Jaiswal & Buttler with a 98 runs-opening partnership for RR

Delhi Capitals won the toss & decided to bowl first. Yashasvi Jaiswal & Jos Buttler opened the inning for Rajasthan while Khaleel Ahmed opened with the bowl for Delhi. Jaiswal set the highest first-over score in the IPL 2023 by smashing five fours. Jaiswal smashed the first ball for a boundary through mid-wicket. He just didn't stop there. Jaiswal found his second four at the third man with a beautiful cut shot and then completed a hat-trick of boundaries after smashing the third one through extra cover. Khaleel managed to deliver a dot ball but lost his control on the final two. The fourth one raced straight down the ground and then, Yashasvi ended the over with another cut shot, over the short third fielder for a boundary.

Jos Buttler dealt with boundaries on the other side. the openers built a 98 runs partnership as Jaiswal scored 60 runs in 31 deliveries with 11 fours & 1 six. He completed a 25-ball half-century but eventually, Mukesh Kumar picked up his wicket. He also dismissed Jos Buttler for 79 runs.

Sanju Samson & Riyan Parag couldn't contribute anything special to the scoresheet. Shimron Hetmyer & Dhruv Jurel once again took responsibility to give a brilliant finish to Rajasthan. Hetmyer smashed 39* runs with 4 sixes while Jurel (8*) smashed a massive six to end the inning with 199 runs on the scoreboard.

RR vs DC:

Boult & Chahal picked up 3 wickets each to dismantle DC

Boult removed Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey in consecutive balls to give a perfect start to Rajasthan. Ashwin joined the party with the wicket of Rossouw for 14 runs. Lalit Yadav & the skipper David Warner built a brilliant partnership of 64 runs in which Warner stabilize the situation and Yadav dealt with some hot boundaries. Trent Boult came back into the attack and picked up Lalit Yadav for 38 runs and Delhi lost their 4th wicket at the score of 100.

That was the moment DC lost all hopes to come back into the match. David Warner did his job and completed a well-fought half-century but he couldn't find anyone on the other hand to help him. The wickets kept falling down at the other end. Ashwin picked up 2 wickets while Sandeep Sharma got 1 wicket. Chahal & Boult scalped 3 wickets each and Delhi only managed to score 142 after the end of 20 overs. David Warner scored 65 runs but eventually, Chahal dismissed him and sent him back to the dugout.

Rajasthan Royals registered their second victory of the season by denying Delhi in the RR vs DC game at Guwahati. Delhi Capitals faced a hattrick of losses after this defeat and now they are in the second-last position of the table.
