The selectors recently picked an ODI team for the series in West Indies, which Shikhar Dhawan will lead with Ravindra Jadeja as his deputy. However, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested.
According to TOI, Rohit, Pant, and Pandya will travel with the team to the Caribbean for the five-match T20I series. As for Kohli, his T20I future depends on his performance in the two T20Is and ODIs in England. BCCI is unhappy with the senior players frequently sitting out of the series.
"Rohit, Pant, and Jadeja are likely to play in the T20Is in West Indies, but Bumrah will be rested. As for Kohli, one needs to see how he performs in England. The matches against the Ben Stokes-led team are very important for his future."

Virat Kohli is believed to have requested the selectors, team management, and also BCCI to not consider him for the West Indies series. India's T20i squad against West Indies will be announced after their T20I series against England.
Kohli's form has been below-par for over a year now. He also struggled in T20 cricket in this year's IPL. With India having a lot of young players, who can play in the middle-order, the 33-year-old may find it hard to retain his place.
India will take on the English army in the 1st T20I on Tuesday night. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is set to return to the team. Meanwhile, after the T20Is, the three ODIs will kickstart on July 12.
