Bengal suffered their second defeat of the Senior Women's T20 League 2022 as Haryana thrashes Bengal by 7 wickets. Shafali Verma single-handedly destroyed the Bengal team after they posted a total of 137 on the board. With the help of Shafali's brutal inning, Haryana chased down the target within 18.2 overs with 7 wickets in hand.

1st inning

After winning the toss Bengal captain Rumeli Dhar decided to bat first against Haryana at the JSCA Stadium Complex. However, Bengal made some unexpected changes in the squad that causes them the game. Instead of Mita Paul, Tithi Das joins Deepti as the opener for the match. Soon Tithi had gone back to the dressing room after scoring a run-a-ball 4 runs.

Meanwhile, Deepti (43 off 36) was controlling the game on one side while regular wickets were falling on the other side. Skipper Rumeli scored 19 off 18 balls before getting dismissed. After Deepti's departure Priyanka Bala (24* off 15) helped Bengal to reach the total of 137/7 in 20 overs. For Haryana, Sheetal Rana and Shafali Verma both took 2 wickets each in their spell.

2nd inning

In the run chase, Shafali Verma single-handedly won it for Haryana as she put up a horror show for the Bengal team. Shafali remained unbeaten on 75 runs off 46 balls after serving the victory to her team. She has hammered a total of 11 fours and 2 sixes during her inning. Reema Sisodia (20 off 15), and Sheetal Rana (35 off 36) also contributed for Haryana with the bat. Titas Sadhu took two wickets while Deepti took one wicket.

The unexpected changes cost Bengal the match. They made two unwanted changes in the playing xi for the match against Haryana. Meanwhile, they dropped Jhumia Khatun, and P Paul and picked Gauhar Sultana and P Aich in their place. These changes made the task tough for the Bengal side. However, they will play their last game of the league stage of Senior Women's T20 League 2022 on 24th April from 8:30 am onwards.
