Kolkata Knight Riders batter Andre Russell hit the 600th six of his T20 career during the SRH vs KKR clash at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday. Russell became the third batter to reach the 600-mark. His international teammates Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard already achieved that record long ago. Russell reached the mark with a six against SRH leg spinner Mayank Markande over the long-on fence. Incidentally, the KKR player has only 400 fours in his T20 career.

The Caribbean batter is the fastest to get to the mark. He achieved it in his 446th appearance in the format. During the SRH vs KKR clash, Russell came into the bat in an important situation. He couldn't contribute as much as he used to do before. His two gigantic sixes helped KKR to get a boost in their run rates. KKR reached 171 runs after the end of 20 overs.
Only 62 of his 600 sixes have come in T20Is. In IPL, he has featured in 108 matches. Russell has 2,201 runs in with an average of 29.34. He has clubbed 147 fours and 188 sixes, striking at 175.23. In IPL 2023, Russell has scored 166 runs, slamming 10 fours and 13 sixes. Russell's 188 sixes are the 10th most in the tournament. Gayle leads the tally with 355 maximums. Gayle leads the show with 1,056 sixes in T20 Cricket. His International teammate Pollard has smacked 812 maximums. No other batter has over 500 sixes.
