Delhi hosted the second semi-final of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 yesterday. Karnataka beat Vidarbha by only 4 runs and the match was definitely a thrilling one. Karnataka will now face the defending champions, Tamil Nadu in the final on Monday.

Karnataka batted at first and scored 176 runs including two half-centuries from Rohan Kadam and Manish Pandey. Their contribution made it difficult for Vidarbha. While everyone was quite sure that Karnataka is going to enter the finals, Darshan Nalkande's spell in the last over made people think that still there is a chance for the team to win. The right-arm seamer showed a memorable effort but unfortunately, he could not save the team. Darshan picked up four wickets in four balls in the final over and kept them to 176 for 7.

Vidarbha started well off while chasing, but could not continue till the final stages, and consecutively ended at 172/6. As the result of the match was in the favor of Karnataka, they will meet Tamil Nadu in the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 on 22nd November.
