T20 World Cup 2022: Australia Team Preview

The much-anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is set to commence on 16 October 2022 and will be played in Australia. Apart from being the host venue, Australia is also the defending champions, winning the T20 World Cup against New Zealand last year which was held in UAE.

This year, the Aussies will kick start their Super 12 campaign just as they concluded their tournament last year, against the Kiwis. The world champions will face a challenging outing against Kane Williamson-led New Zealand as they will look to maintain their winning streak from last year's final.

Australia is placed in Group 1 along with Afghanistan, England, New Zealand, Group A winners, and Group B runners-up of the qualifiers.
