The Proteas has made a great comeback in the 2nd Test after their huge innings defeat in the first test against the Kiwis here at Christchurch.

Elger led South Africa lost by an innings and 276 runs in the first test of the series last week. However, they made a comeback in the second test as the visitors won the match by a huge 196 runs on Tuesday.

New Zealand Vs South Africa Test series ends up on a 1-1 draw

In the first innings, Sarel Erwee smashed a ton as SA ended up at 364 runs in their first innings. Meanwhile, Rabada took a fifer in the next innings to push te kiwis backward. Although Grandhomme scored a ton in that innings.

South Africa got a lead of 71 runs in the first innings. In the second innings again the Proteas put up a total of 354 to hit the lead at 425. However, the hosts failed to chase down such a huge total on the fifth and final day of the test as they lost by 198 runs. The series ends up on a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, it's now difficult for the Kiwis to make it to the finals of the World Test Championship final next year.

Kagiso Rabada won the Man Of The Match award while NZ's Matt Henry won the Player Of The Series award for his brilliant performance in the 1st Test.
