BCCI announced an 18-men squad for the upcoming 5-match T20I series against West Indies. Rohit Sharma will lead the team while the inclusion of KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav is subjected to clearance of fitness. The West Indies vs India 220 series will start on the 29th of July.

The full squad: Rohit Sharma (C), KL Rahul*, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav*, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh.
Both KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav were doing their rehab in the national cricket Academy at Bangalore. KL Rahul had suffered a groin injury that led him to do an operation. He was supposed to let the Indian team in the South Africa series but couldn't do that due to the injury. He was seen doing net practice and hopefully will be recovered before the West Indies vs India T20I series.
On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav missed the last series due to a finger injury. Kuldeep was hit on his hands while doing batting practice before the start of the South Africa series. The left-hand spinner is said to be fit before the West Indies series.
