Indian squad for the upcoming mega event, T20 World Cup has been announced with a few surprises in the squad. Indian allrounder Ravindra Jadeja will miss the entire tournament as he is coming from surgery, while Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar missed out to be in the main squad.
So, now the question is what should be India's top three for the T20 World Cup 2022, which is scheduled to be played in Australia next month. Captain Rohit Sharma will surely open the batting and the mystery is with the rest two places.

Rohit - Rahul - Virat
The most common and successful opening pair for team India is Rohit Rahul and then Kohli. These three have already proved their worth to be in the top three however, KL Rahul is currently not in his best touch after his comeback in the T20 setup of team India.
Rohit - Kohli - Surya
The next choice is Rohit and Kohli to open and Surya to bat at the third. In this case, we have already seen what the opening duo of Kohli Rohit can do, and they have already proved their ability to open together and build a partnership. In this case, Rahul will miss out on the top three spots.

Rohit - Virat - Rahul or Pant - Rohit - Virat
The third choice is Rohit Kohli as the opener while KL bats at three. In these cases, Surya will have to bat at four or five which is not a bad choice. However, the fourth choice is to go with Pant in the opening along with Rohit and Kohli to be at three. In this case, Rahul will again miss out on the top three.
Hooda - Rohit - Virat
Now, the fifth and final choice we have is to promote Deepak Hooda up the order and makes him open with skipper Rohit while Virat may bat at three. We have already seen how much Hooda is capable of batting up the order and opening the innings. Hooda has already smashed a century in the format while opening against Ireland.
