"Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true," Ravindra Jadeja retires from T20Is after achieving pinnacle in his career

Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20I cricket after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. He has played in 74 T20Is for India and scored 515 runs while taking 54 wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja became the third Indian player to announce retirement from T20I cricket after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after the triumph in Barbados. Jadeja, the 35-year-old all-rounder feels he has achieved the pinnacle of his T20I career after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 beating South Africa by seven runs. 

"With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals," Jadeja wrote on his social media accounts. 

"Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I've always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats."

"Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 international career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support," he added.

Jadeja has featured in 74 T20Is for India and scored 515 runs while taking 54 wickets. The left-arm spinner debuted for India in T20Is in 2009 against Sri Lanka and had a 15-year-long career in the shortest format of international cricket.
