Gujarat Giants coach Rachael Haynes during the mid-match show said they might have to replace their captain Beth Mooney. Mooney got injured last night playing against Mumbai Indians in the WPL 2023 and she was carried away to the dressing room in the first over itself.

Coach Haynes was not happy with the scans that came out and she feels that the captain might have to replaced for the betterment of the team. The Aussie wicket-keeper batter was named the captain of the Gujarat Titans. However, after her injury, Sneh Rana led the team against UP Warriorz.

"I feel we may have to replace (Beth) Mooney. The scans that came out today, did not look that great," Haynes said. "The medical team will take a look at the scans and they will take the last call," Rachael Haynes added.

Gujarat Giants could not make a comeback in the first match after Mooney's injury. It will be interesting to see if they have to make a comeback, who will be the player to replace her in the squad for the rest of the WPL 2023.
