Meanwhile, Fulham are 12th in the league table, and they are winless in their last two league games. They were held to a draw against Arsenal away from home and crashed to a defeat against Brentford at home prior to that.

The West Londoners will have to be at their best against the defending champions, and it remains to be seen whether they can pull off an upset here.

John Stones remains out for the hosts, while Manuel Akanji is still a doubt after missing last Sunday's win. Guardiola could select an unchanged backline with Rodri and Mateo Kovacic starting in front of the defence.

Both Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva should retain their respective places either side of Erling Haaland. Kevin De Bruyne is a long-term absentee.

Fulham:

Calvin Bassey could return to Fulham's starting XI after he served his one-game suspension against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup. However, Silva could opt for Tim Ream alongside Issa Diop at the heart of the defence.
