Team News:
Mumbai City-
The season opener for Mumbai City ended on a positive note as they took down FC Goa by 3-0 goals. Des Buckingham's side was ruthless on the Gaurs with their high pressing and fast-paced game. Igor Angulo showed his previous season form and scored a brace against his former club; followed by a goal from Ygor Catatau. However, Mumbai City didn't enjoy much of the possession, which they will look to improve.
"We're aware of their strengths. The coach has got them very well organized, playing a very good standard of football," said Des Buckingham
"We fought against them in the pre-season so we've had a taste of that. We are ready for what we need to be ready for." he further added.
Injuries- Wingback D. Vignesh, will be out for up to six weeks following an ankle injury against FC Goa.
Hyderabad-
Manuel Marquez's side didn't get the dream start they expected as Chennaiyin FC took away the match with just a narrow 1-0 win. However, Hyderabad has a strong squad to show, with Ogbeche and Edu Garcia on their attacking front.
Hyderabad can provide a quick counterattack and strong possession game. Hyderabad enjoyed most of the ball during both the halves during their match, but the unfortunate penalty shadowed their performances.
Marquez before the match- "We want to win, of course, we can win, but we know the quality of the opponents. Mumbai City knows how to manage situations in games and are strong in set-pieces and open play as well," he said.
"They want to keep the ball and so do we. So, I am sure it will be a close contest at Fatorda tomorrow," he further added.
Injuries- Attacker Halicharan Narzary is expected to miss out for Hyderabad, following a knee injury versus Chennaiyin FC.
