Chelsea beating the Italians 3-0 last Wednesday did wonders for their position in the group as they now find themselves 2nd, one point behind RB Salzburg, who they play on October 25th and a win tomorrow against Milan would see them go three points clear of the Italians, a huge confidence boost going into the last two group games.

Many would expect Graham Potter to go with the same lineup as he went with last week, the only change being Trevoh Chalobah coming in once again for the injured Wesley Fofana.

The English manager making seven changes to his side in their 3-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.

Players who started against Milan and were rested against Wolves include Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, Reece James and Ben Chilwell.

Milan recovered from the loss to Chelsea by beating struggling Juventus 2-0 on Saturday to go 4th in Serie A, with the goals coming from former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori and ex-Manchester City forward Brahim Diaz.

Milan's injury list is substantial, with Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Junior Messias, Simon Kjaer, Davide Calabria and Alexis Saelemaekers all on the sidelines.

However, the hosts were boosted by the return of Theo Hernandez from injury against Juventus, and the France international will line up at left-back on Tuesday night.

There are not expected to be any major surprises in the Milan XI, with Olivier Giroud set to lead the line with support from Diaz and Rafael Leao, but Tommaso Pobega is likely to drop out of the midfield to allow Rade Krunic to come into the side in a more advanced area.

Chelsea:

As for Chelsea, N'Golo Kante remains a doubt due to a hamstring problem, while Wesley Fofana is definitely out with the knee injury that he suffered in the reverse match with Milan.

Head coach Potter will make changes from the side that started against Wolves in the league on Saturday, with Mateo Kovacic, Reece James, Raheem Sterling, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ben Chilwell all set to return.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek should keep hold of his role in central midfield, while Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to continue between the sticks, with the Spaniard enjoying a recent run in the side.
