In Chelsea transfer news, the Blues have made Dusan Vlahovic their No.1 target for the summer, making an €80 million offer for the Juventus striker, sources told ESPN.

Vlahovic, 23, arrived in Turin from Fiorentina in January 2022 for €81.6m and has three years left on his contract.

He has scored 23 goals in 62 games in all competitions for the Bianconeri but has failed to settle, due to coach Massimiliano Allegri's defensive approach and the uncertainty over Champions League qualification next season for the club.

Juventus had a 15-point penalty suspended last month, lifting them up to third in Serie A and right in the mix for a spot in the Champions League. The case has now been referred back to the soccer federation's appeals court, and Juventus have been handed back the points pending the new trial. The penalty was issued in January for false accounting.

With Vlahovic unhappy at Juve, Chelsea have seen an opportunity to attract a player they had targeted during his time at Fiorentina, while Juventus would consider a transfer for the Serbia international.

Romelu Lukaku - who was signed for £97.5million August 2021 - is currently on loan at Inter Milan, but he could leave the club on a permanent basis before the 2023-24 campaign kicks off.

So Chelsea officials are now on the hunt for a new No.9.

According to football journalist Julien Laurens, the Blues are keen on the prospect of signing Vlahovic from Juventus.

Incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has been told that a top No. 9 would be signed this summer. Vlahovic, who is keen to move to Stamford Bridge, also has interest from Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

In Paul Pogba news, we see the Juventus midfielder has been provisionally suspended for an anti-doping offence as per Italy's national anti-doping tribunal after failing the doping test, post Juventus's 3-0 victory over Udinese on 20 August.

What really happened?

As said earlier, the doping test was performed after Juve's victory against Udinese, and it detected elevated levels of testosterone, a hormone that increases players' endurance.

The anti-doping agency, Nado Italia, informed that Pogba was suspended provisionally with immediate effect. He's going to be at a trial and testing of a backup "B" sample; he would risk a suspension of up to four years.

Juventus released an official statement acknowledging the failed result of the test and said they were considering their next steps.

Pogba's time at Juventus has been affected by a lot of injuries. He hardly played for the club, let alone giving any significant performance, and now it's on the verge of getting worse for the Frenchman.

He was ruled out of France's 2022 World Cup squad due to a knee injury and has managed to make only six Serie A matches for Juventus last season.

Another Paul Pogba News would be, Pogba has yet to start a game this season but has made two substitute appearances, last playing in the 2-0 win at Empoli.

There has also been a police investigation ongoing in France into allegations that Pogba was targeted by extortionists, including by his older brother, Mathias, who has denied any wrongdoing.

It's also going to be a huge blow to an already heavily affected Juventus side in terms of not getting European Football this season. The previous season was followed by inquiries into false accounting and irregular reporting of salary payments, which ultimately resulted in a points deduction.
