Chelsea vs Dortmund: Match Preview:

Meanwhile, Chelsea recently returned to winning ways this past weekend, ending a run of six games without a victory. But the 1-0 win over Leeds United did not inspire much confidence. And Graham Potter still has a long way to go before he can win over Chelsea fans amid ever-increasing pressure.

On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund might be the most in-form team in the world right now. The Black and Yellows have won all ten games since the season resumed after the World Cup break. And they have risen to the top of the Bundesliga, level on points with Bayern Munich.

Dortmund's phenomenal run also includes a 1-0 win over Chelsea in the first leg, where Karim Adeyemi scored the game's only goal.

Team News:

Reece James is expected to return after missing the Leeds game with a minor injury, but there will be no sign of Mason Mount. The midfielder is dealing with an abdominal injury but is serving a one-game suspension anyway.

Thiago Silva, Edouard Mendy and Armando Broja are confirmed absentees, while Cesar Azpilicueta is also facing a battle to return to the squad.

N'Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic could return to the bench but both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Benoit Badiashile, Noni Madueke and David Datro Fofana are all out of the Champions League squad and will have to watch from the sidelines.

Adeyemi, who scored the only goal of the first leg, will miss out through injury, while goalkeeper Gregor Kobel is also facing a late fitness test as he battles a thigh injury.

Youssoufa Moukoko, Mateu Morey, Abdoulaye Kamara, Donyell Malen and Julien Duranville are all unavailable as well, as is backup right-back Julian Ryerson, who is suspended.
