However, PSG's dream of getting their hands on the Coupe de France for the 15th time got shattered in no time. As the Parisian got dragged out from the Cup tie by Nice.

Christophe Galtier and his men are already in great form this season as they are currently sitting 2nd on the Ligue 1 table. They now have 42 points meaning they are 11 points from the table leaders PSG.

Coupe de France: The progression of the Match

Paris Saint-Germain was enjoying the majority of the possession and kept attacking, but was unable to break Nice's defence. More surprisingly Mauricio Pochettino kept hold of their star forward Kylian Mbappe up until an hour.

However, Lionel Messi came back into the starting lineup after recovering from Covid19. With both Messi and Mbappe on the pitch, PSG yet failed to break the deadlock and dragged the match to penalties.

In the first 5 shots, both teams managed to miss 1 each. However, it was the 7th shot that decided the fortune of the match. Former PSG goalkeeper Marcin Bulka kept out midfielder Xavi Simons to give Nice the astounding win.
