Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to the critics who have termed Manchester United as "crap" in recent times. After their 3-0 win against Tottenham on Saturday. Ronaldo said he was never bothered by the public speculation of the team.

Ronaldo's goal and assist against Spurs helped to take off the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad. After their shameful 5-0 defeat to Liverpool. Which triggered comments from Former Manchester United players Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney.

However, Manchester United stays in a not-so-good position in the League. With their title changes being on the lower side after a horrible month of October.

What did Cristiano Ronaldo say?

"The criticisms are always there," Ronaldo said to the club's official website. "For me, it doesn't bother me because I have played 18 years of football, so I know that one day we are perfect and another day we are crap.

"I know that and we have to deal with that. But it's always better when the people praise you and they are happy with you.

"Sometimes life is like that. Sometimes we have to pass through bad moments and we have to change and we changed today.

"The team was a little bit under pressure, a little bit sad, but we knew that today we give a good answer. We played well, we started the game very well.

"Of course my job is to help the team with my experience. My goals, my assists, and I did that today and I feel so pleased with that. But in terms of the team, it was an unbelievable performance in my opinion."

The Bright Side

With their win against Tottenham, Man Utd is eight points behind Chelsea. As Chelsea is at the top of the Premier League table. So the criticism won't simply go away with one good result.

However, the win against Tottenham has kept their chances of top 4 alive. Instead of falling down the order with a defeat. Manchester United will look to capitalize on their upcoming Champions League match against Atalanta this Tuesday.
