Ramos is the only defender of the modern era of the European Cup (UEFA Champions League) to score in two finals. His goals against Atletico Madrid in the 2014 and 2016 UEFA Champions League final set him in the record book with Tommy Gemmell (1967, 1970) and Phil Neal (1977, 1984).

He is only behind Fernando Hierro in the goals list as a defender. Also, his 72 goals in La Liga for Real Madrid is a record for the club; only behind Fernando Hierro (102).
