Match Preview

Colombia is featuring in their third ever World Cup after missing out on 2019 one. So this is kind of their comeback to the world stage. They qualified for the World Cups after finishing Copa America as Runners-up, where they lost the final, for the fourth time, against Brazil.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s journey to the World Cup finals have been heartbreaking too. Their World Cup qualification came after they won the semifinal of the Asia Cup, but just like Colombia, they lost in the final match. South Korea, since their first World Cup qualification in 2011, have only reached the Round of 16 once, which was in 2015. So their first objective in this World Cup would be to qualify for the Round of 16 stage.

With Germany being the favourites to top Group H, and after their 6-0 victory over Morocco it has become quite eminent, both Colombia and South Korea would fancy their chances to advance into the knockout stages by finishing second in the group.
