Martina Rosucci has been ruled out of the tournament as she sustained an injury. Sara Gama is the new inclusion on Italy's squad for the World Cup 2023. Martina Lenzini could line up in central defence alongside Elena Linari. Bartoli and Boattin will surely operate as the two full-backs of the Le Azzurre. Valentina Giacinti will lead the front line. Sofia Cantore and Annamaria Serturini will join her as wingers in the front.

For Argentina, Vanina Correa is set to start in goal while the central defensive pairing of Miriam Mayorga and Aldana Cometti will cover her. The 30-year-old, Mariana Larroquette will feature in the front three alongside Florencia Bonsegundo and Estefania Banini.
