The current FIFA World Ranking has shown significant changes in the recent standings of the teams. With the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers, many teams have been moving up and down the ranking list this November. 

However, Argentina has significantly moved up the ranks a few times. Lionel Messi and Co. have already had their hands on Copa America by defeating Brazil by just a goal. With Argentina winning the Copa América this summer is already affecting their FIFA Ranking. The South American country led by Lionel Messi climbed from eighth to sixth place.

Argentina kept its position before going on to the world cup qualifiers. Their brilliant performances during the Qualifiers boosted their rank one more place up. La Albiceleste currently sits at 5th place with 1750.51 points, overtaking Italy in the process. In 2016, Argentina was the number one ranked team in FIFA World Rankings, However, they saw a big downfall in 2018 when they fell out of the top 10. But finally, they have found form in their national team and have boosted the team up till 5th Place as of now.

The World Cup is around the corner, will be an opportunity for Argentina's national team to move more up the ranks. However, it's not going to be an easy task. So Argentina is expected to put up some stand-out performances in the upcoming tournament.
