According to Football Transfer News, after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer; Manchester United is now looking for the options around them with Pochettino as their prime target as of now. However, PSG is not interested in letting him go midway through the season; but they are open to holding talks by the end of the season.
Manchester United's New Interim Manager
Manchester United according to Football Transfer News has announced Ralf Rangnick as a coach on an interim basis for six months until the end of the season. However, Manchester has other plans for their permanent managerial position.
Rangnick has been given the responsibility to take care of the team until they sign a new manager in the coming days. But a two-year consultancy role has been given to him after his six-month tenure in charge is over.
Man United has already held talks with PSG regarding the availability of Pochettino. However, the French club made it clear that they are not interested to let go of him as of how
Rangnick has yet to be formally announced as a manager; meaning current interim Michael Carrick will be in charge for Sunday's trip to Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino's view on the situation
Pochettino is yet to have a perfect life in Paris, feeling the strain of 11 months living out of a hotel room.
The arrival of Lionel Messi didn't help it much as both the player and manager are in the kind of cordial rather than warm relationship.
Publicly at least Pochettino remains committed to the Ligue 1 club; PSG would likely make United pay dearly for the chance to take their coach while he is still under contract.
"I am very happy at PSG," Pochettino in an interview.
"I am used to the rumors and it is a good sign, it means we are doing a good job. We don't create the rumors, nor do we take advantage of them."

Team News and Current Form
Both teams have looked their best in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Enzo Maresca's Chelsea have been very attacking, while Luis Enrique's PSG have outsmarted every team in Europe.

Chelsea joined the tournament after winning the UEFA Conference League and ensuring their place in the UEFA Champions League 2025-26. Boosted with young talents at a high price, Maresca's young team has been a bit up and down throughout the season.
However, in the Club World Cup, they have shown good form, winning five matches from six to reach the final. Blues' new signing Joao Pedro showed how he can be the perfect solution to Chelsea's attacking issues, after scoring against his boyhood club Fluminense in the semis.

Despite finishing only second in Group D, Chelsea did not have to face any European giant in the knockouts before the final. So, Maresca will have to adapt to PSG's European style of play, and it will surely be a tough job for him.
The good news for the London-based club is that their star midfielder, Moises Caicedo, has recovered from his ankle injury and was seen during training. So, he will be available for selection.
But Dario Essugo and Romeo Lavia will not be available due to muscular problems, along with Benoit Badiashile, who is also doubtful for the final. Noni Madueke is unlikely to play in between his transfer talks with Arsenal.

The current Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League winners have been the best team in the world this season. They have gone past anyone who has come in front of them.
Luis Enrique's team has shown that even without a big name like Kylian Mbappe, you can win trophies with tactics, execution and passion.
PSG, just like their opponent Chelsea, have won five out of six games in the FIFA Club World Cup. They surprisingly lost against Botafogo in the group stage, and thus had to face teams like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid en route to the final.

Against Bayern, they registered a 2-0 victory and then went on to smash Real Madrid 4-0 in the semis. Fabian Ruiz scored a brace and Ousmane Dembele scored, asisted and pre-assisted to announce he is ready to win the Ballon d'Or 2025.
Goncalo Ramos also scored during the dying minutes of the match.
In terms of injury news and availability, Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez will miss the final after receiving red cards in the quarters. Other than that, there are no injury concerns for them.

What happened in the match?
Luis Enrique had to name a team without Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez, who were suspended for two games for their red cards in the game against FC Bayern Munich. However, after the win against Bayern, the Parisians looked confident to face Real Madrid.
First half

PSG had a flying start as they scored as many as three goals within the first 25 minutes of the game. The first goals came within the first ten minutes of the semi-final.
Fabian Ruiz started the goal fest for them. After two nearly missed chances, PSG finally converted as Dembele won the ball from Raul Asencio inside the box and managed to find Ruiz, who opened the scoring in the 6th minute.

Three minutes later, Dembele, one of the contenders for Ballon d'Or 2025, turned goal scorer as he snatched the ball away from Antonio Rudiger inside the box and found the back of the net easily.
After the first two mistakes, Real Madrid could not bounce back. In the 24th minute, Ruiz scored his second of the game, as Dembele proved to be the main man for the Parisians.
In the counterattack attack the Frenchmen initiated the attack, finding Hakimi with a cross, who found an unmarked Ruiz for the third goal of the match.
In the second half, the game slowed a bit, and Real Madrid tried to find gaps through the PSG defence, but failed.
Mbappe's shot in the 52nd minute went over the goal, while Valverde's attempt in the 72nd minute was blocked by Beraldo. Apart from those two occasions, Xabi Alonso's men could not provide any genuine chances in the second half.
During the final minutes of the game, Goncalo Ramos put the final nail in the coffin. In the 87th minute, Ramos made a quick turn and found the net after receiving a pass from Barcola.
