In Football Transfer News, Marcel Sabitzer is flying to the UK to complete a loan deal from Bayern Munich to Manchester United, and Ziyech to join PSG on loan.
Marcel Sabitzer joins to Man Utd:
The 28-year-old is available during the current transfer window, and following Christian Eriksen's long-term injury and a short-term problem for Scott McTominay, United explored the prospect of a loan move.
At Tuesday's media conference United manager Erik ten Hag said it was "difficult" to complete any deals on deadline day.
However, Ten Hag is well known at Bayern Munich because of his spell as second-team coach there, and that relationship could help speed up the process.
Without Eriksen, who has been ruled out until the end of April with an ankle injury, and McTominay, Ten Hag has only two fit central midfielders for the upcoming games against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace over the next week.
Seventeen-year-old Kobbie Mainoo is highly thought of at United, but it is unlikely he would be risked at first-team level on a regular basis. Zidane Iqbal, 19, also plays in midfield but the Iraq international is yet to make a senior appearance this season.
Under the circumstances, a move for Sabitzer makes complete sense for United, who remain in all four competitions and hold a 3-0 lead from the first leg heading into the deciding game of their Carabao Cup semi-final with Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Football Transfer News: Hakim Ziyech to join PSG on loan from Chelsea
Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech is reportedly on the 'verge' of joining Ligue 1 giants PSG before the January transfer window closes on Tuesday night.
The forward has not been able to reach his full potential in the Premier League since joining Chelsea in 2020 from Ajax for around £36m.
The 29-year-old has failed to score in ten league appearances for Chelsea this season. Some suspected that he could come into his own after he shone for Morocco at the World Cup.
But this has not happened and he is looking to leave the Blues before the end of this month.
Speaking last week, Fabrizio Romano suggested that Ziyech was "too expensive" for AS Roma and Everton.
"The transfer market is now into the final days and Chelsea will be probably the busiest team in the last of the transfer window with many possible moves for the Blues," Romano said.
"Hakim Ziyech is on the list of many clubs as last minute opportunity, as Everton and AS Roma have asked for the Moroccan star but it's too expensive for the Italian club at the moment.
"The race is open, Chelsea will decide on Ziyech and Conor Gallagher's future later this week while Newcastle are more focused on Anthony Gordon from Everton than Ziyech as the top target for that position, as things stand."
PSG have since emerged as the club most likely to sign Ziyech. French outlet L'Equipe are reporting that he is 'pushing to convince' Chelsea to let him join the Ligue 1 outfit.
