Olivier Giroud has broken the France goalscoring record with that crisp little finish, his 52nd goal in national colours and making up for arguably an easier chance earlier. France have the lead but they have not been convincing.

Giroud's big moment arrived on the stroke of half-time, with the 36-year-old beating the offside trap to sweep home a smart left-footed finish.
