Perth Rectangular Stadium hosted the Group D game between Haiti & Denmark on Tuesday in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023. Denmark booked their place in the knockout stage for the first time since 1995 after a narrow victory over Haiti in Perth. Captain Pernille Harder put the Scandinavians in front with her first FIFA Women's World Cup goal from the penalty in the first half. Then, Sanne Troelsgaard sealed the clash in the final minute of added time. This victory sets up a huge Round of 16 Sydney clash with co-hosts Australia on 7 August. Haiti returned home after failing to score in any of their three group-stage matches. On the other side, England finished top of the group D with three victories in three matches and booked their tickets against Nigeria for the Round of 16 clash.
