An early blow delivered by the Nizams
The match began with both teams looking to assert themselves early on, and it was Hyderabad FC who broke the deadlock.
Devendra Murgaonkar found the back of the net in the 21st minute, putting the home side ahead with a well-taken goal.
After the goal was scored by the home side, Bengaluru FC attempted to convert a couple of opportunities in search of the equalizer.

Captain Chhetri with the equalizer
The second half started in the same manner, with consistent efforts from the away side and solid defending from the home outfit.
However, despite a strong defensive display from Hyderabad throughout the game, captain Sunil Chhetri came to the rescue to equalize for Bengaluru.
In the 78th minute, a well-directed cross from Ryan Williams to Sunil Chettri ended up in the net as the Indian football icon struck the ball with a beautiful header.
With this goal, Chhetri scored his 10th of the season and became only the third player to score 10 goals in the ongoing season.

The game ends in a thrilling stalemate
In the remaining minutes, both sides battled hard and made multiple changes for the winning goal, but solid defending and missed chances kept the scoreline unchanged.
In terms of discipline, Hyderabad's Manoj Mohammed and Bengaluru's Rahul Bheke both received yellow cards for their challenges.
Hyderabad and Bengaluru both secured one well-deserving point each. However, the result leaves Hyderabad FC in the last position with 10 points in 16 matches.
On the contrary, Bengaluru FC has dropped points in their third consecutive game, straying further from the league-leaders Mohun Bagan SG. The Blues currently stand in the second position, bagging 28 points in 16 games so far.
