Ahmed Jahouh has extended his contract with Mumbai City FC for another year. Jahouh will remain with the club through the ISL 2022-23 season.
The 33-year-old proved to be essential in Mumbai City's ISL League Winners' Shield victory. In 33 appearances for the club, the midfielder scored three goals and provided 11 assists. However, upon signing the contract, he said, "For me, staying on at Mumbai City was one of the easiest decisions I've had to make. I've enjoyed my football in the last 18 months - we had a hugely successful season last year and I am proud to have been a part of a piece of history of this club."

"We've an vital problem forward of us with the rest of the ISL and the AFC Champions League. I need to assist convey extra success to the membership and everybody related to Mumbai Metropolis. Jahouh, a native of Morocco, began his career with Ittihad Khemisset before switching on to Moghreb Tetouan, Raja Casablanca, and FUS Rabat until joining FC Goa in 2017. Prior to entering the Islanders, he played for the Goan side for three seasons, claiming the 2019/20 ISL League Winners' Shield and the 2019 Super Cup.

Head coach Des Buckingham expressed his exuberance by stating, "Jahouh has been one of the most consistent and influential players in the ISL. His experience, technical ability and game intelligence are complimented with being a fantastic person with great characteristics."
