Kylian Mbappe has been the talk of the transfer, which most definitely links his departure from PSG to Real Madrid in January.
The Frenchman has already expressed his desire to join Los Blancos. Not only that, Real Madrid itself tried to sign him up but PSG was keen to keep their star player at home. However, Kylian Mbappe has made it clear that his primary and only focus right now is on PSG'S progress in the season and also on their round of 16 ties with Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe was recently awarded the 2021 player of the year by Globe Soccer in Dubai. The event was held in Qatar and later the Frenchman gave a few interviews to a number of media outlets.
What did Kylian Mbappe say?
"This isn't the time to talk about my future because we're in the most important phase of the season,"
"We're facing Madrid. That's the only thing I have on my mind, is to beat Madrid in February and in March. We're ready and I'm ready to play and give my all for PSG.
"We've made the final and the semi-final in the last two years, but this year we want to win it. I'm not going to Madrid in January."
Kylian Mbappe is free to negotiate with any club he wants in January and can sign a pre-contract with the club of his choice ahead of July 1st, 2022. In February and March, Mbappe will step foot on the Santiago Bernabeu pitch but perhaps for the last time representing the Parisians.
