In the latest transfer news, the Croatian winger, Ivan Perisic has agreed a deal with Chelsea for a move in the summer. While its an all English fight for the Christopher Nkunku as Manchester United and Chelsea for the signature of the Leipzig star.
Ivan Perisic has agreed a move to Chelsea:
Chelsea have reached an initial agreement to sign Ivan Perisic on a free transfer, according to reports in Italy.
The 33-year-old is out of contract with Inter at the end of the season and is yet to reach a new agreement with the Italian champions.
It's understood that the Croatia international has been demanding a new three-year contract worth just under £100,000 a week but Inter are only offering a two-year deal worth around £65,000 a week.
Perisic has been angered by Inter's approach to his contract situation and criticised the club after he scored twice in the win over Juventus in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday evening.
According to Sports Mediaset on Friday, Perisic has now reached an initial agreement with Chelsea and is ready to leave Inter as a free agent at the end of the season.
The report claims that the deal is subject to a medical and the final formalities of the agreement have not yet been signed off, but Chelsea appear to be in the driving seat to sign the Croatian.
Perisic has been an influential part of Inter's team this season, with seven goals and six assists in Serie A so far.
The winger helped guide Inter to the title last term under Antonio Conte but the club are now trailing Serie A leaders AC Milan by two points with two league games remaining of the current campaign.
Manchester United and Chelsea to fight for Christopher Nkunku?:
Latest Transfer News, Chelsea FC and Manchester United are both keeping tabs on in-form RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku ahead of the summer transfer window, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sport Germany reporter took to social media earlier this week to reveal that Chelsea FC boss Thomas Tuchel is "highly interested" in a possible summer move to sign the 24-year-old France international this summer.
According to Plettenberg, Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick – who will move into a consultancy role at Old Trafford this summer – is also interested in a move to bring Nkunko to England.
However, whether either of the Premier League clubs will be able to conclude a deal for Nkunku remains to be seen, as, according to Plettenberg, RB Leipzig do not want to sell him this summer and have offered him a new contract.
Posting on his Twitter account, Plettenberg wrote: "Update
"But: The player has got an offer from Leipzig to extend. They don't want to sell him in summer. Right now no release clause. Man United is also interested, especially Rangnick"
Nkunku, who was born in France and is of Congolese descent, came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth system before signing for RB Leipzig in the summer of 2019 on a five-year contract.
The attacker has been in excellent form for RB Leipzig this season, scoring 20 goals and making 13 assists in 33 Bundesliga games. He has also scored 14 goals and made one assist in the cup competitions for the German side.
He has notched up two caps for France since making his senior international debut earlier this year.
