In the Latest Transfer News, Manchester United have officially joined the race for the signature of Lewandowski. While Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly approves 10 million contract for Koulibaly.
Manchester United to Battle Barcelona and PSG for Robert Lewandowski?
Manchester United are ready to join Barcelona and Chelsea in the race to sign wantaway striker Robert Lewandowski after missing out on a deal for Darwin Nunez.
New Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his attacking options this summer and identified Uruguayan sensation Nunez as a top target.
But Nunez, who scored 34 goals in 41 games for Benfica last season, is closing in on a move to Liverpool worth around £85m.
That has left United looking at other options and, according to The Sun, they have emerged as potential suitors for Poland legend Lewandowski.
Lewandowski has admitted he is desperate to leave Bayern Munich this summer and wants to join Spanish giants Barcelona.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed huge success at Bayern, scoring 344 goals in 375 appearances and helping the club win eight Bundesliga titles, but wants to take on a new challenge elsewhere.
But a move to Barcelona is not guaranteed as the La Liga club – still struggling financially – need to offload players to raise the funds to sign Lewandowski.
They could be set to earn around £80m for Frenkie de Jong but rejected Manchester United's opening offer for the Dutch midfielder earlier this week.
If Lewandowski gets impatient or a move to Barca becomes unlikely, United will reportedly pounce and try to sign the veteran in a similar deal to the one that saw Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford last summer.
But United's Premier League rivals Chelsea are also interested in signing Lewandowski as they prepare for Romelu Lukaku's possible exit. The Belgian struggled last season and wants to return to Inter Milan.
Latest Transfer News: Todd Boehly approves Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea?
In the Lastest Transfer News, Chelsea are reportedly prepared to hand a lucrative contract worth €10 million per year to lure Kalidou Koulibaly, who is a target for Barcelona and PSG.
According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, Chelsea are plotting to beat Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain to the signing of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly by offering him a big contract worth €10 million-a-year.
Koulibaly has been a mainstay at the back for Napoli for years, having joined the club from KRC Genk in 2014. One of the most reliable defenders in Serie A and Europe, the 30-year-old could be on the move this summer as his contract stands to expire next year.
🚨 Chelsea have added Kalidou Koulibaly to their short transfer list.🇸🇳 🔵#CFC
Koulibaly is currently on a deal worth €6 million per year. And Napoli have offered him an extension with a lowered salary of €4 million-a-year as they are looking to trim down their wage bill. Disappointed by the proposal, Koulibaly has made up his mind about leaving the Partenopei in the summer transfer window.
Koulibaly's availability in the summer has alerted several top clubs from across Europe, with Chelsea and Barcelona, in particular, showing serious interest in signing the Senegalese international in the summer.
Barcelona have made Koulibaly one of their top defensive targets heading into the summer as manager Xavi Hernandez wants to add a top-quality centre-back to his roster. The Catalans have Gerard Pique, Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo, Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti as options, while Andreas Christensen is also expected to join imminently on a Bosman deal.
Chelsea are also keen on signing Koulibaly, with the summer transfer window already open in England. The Blues have seen Antonio Rudiger join Real Madrid, while Christensen will be signing for Barcelona imminently as well. With Cesar Azpilicueta's future also not secure, Thomas Tuchel's side must bring in at least one world-class defender.

It was a hell of a game. Inter kept on coming back, and so did Barcelona.
But in the end, I feel it was Yann Sommer who made the difference for Inter Milan.
Yamal was just incredible, but Sommer was better.
Inter will head to Munich for the final. Who will they face?
We will get to know that tomorrow!
Until then, good night and thanks for staying with us.

What a season for Raphinha
21 - Raphinha has now equalled Cristiano Ronaldo's competition record from 2013-14 of 21 goal involvements in a single UEFA Champions League campaign (13 goals, 8 assists). Ballon. #INTBARpic.twitter.com/fc6Sf6SbZW
"It's difficult to handle him, we will try to limit the ball getting to him but it is impossible. He will be doubled, but we know he is very dangerous. He thinks so quickly, it's unbelievable."

Flick on missing Kounde and Balde!
"We can't change anything in terms of injuries. I'm not happy about it, but we can't change it. We have players who can play in those [full-back] positions. Balde and Jules [Koundé] are important for us, but we have Gerard [Martín], Héctor [Fort] and Ronald [Araújo], all of whom are capable of playing in that position."

Do you know?
Inter have gone 972 days without losing a Champions League home game, their last defeat was on September 7, 2022!
The first leg of the semi-final was one of the Champions League classics with a 3-3 result at the Lluís Companys.
Marcus Thuram scored the fastest goal of Champions League semi-final history with a 30-second goal in the game. In the 21st minute, Dumfries then extended the lead for Inter Milan.
But, Barcelona came back three minutes later with a stunning curling goal from Lamine Yamal. In the 38th minute, Ferran Torres scored again for Barcelona to make it 2-2.
However, Inter Milan were ready to strike back in the second half as Dumfries scored his second to hand Inter the lead, again.
But again, Barcelona came back two minutes later with a third goal from Raphinha, which was later confirmed to be an own goal by Inter goalkeeper Sommer.
Inter nearly won the tie if not Dumfries had been found an inch offside before scoring what could have been a well-deserved hat-trick for him.
We have everything to play for in the second leg. But Inter have not lost a home game in the UCL this season. Can Barcelona break that record?

Match: Inter Milan vs FC Barcelona, UEFA Champions League 2024-25, semi-final, 2nd leg
Hansi Flick announced FC Barcelona's squad for the Inter vs Barcelona UCL semi-final second leg match at the San Siro, tomorrow. Barcelona's top scorer, Robert Lewandowski, returned to the squad after missing the first leg due to injury.
Lewandowski got injured against Celta Vigo on 19 April, and after spending two weeks in rehab, the Polish striker was given the green signal after Sunday's training session.
However, Alejandro Balde, another youngster on the rise for Barcelona, could not be fit for the tie. Balde has a hamstring injury, and the team management does not want to risk him in the second leg.
If Barcelona can make it to the Champions League final in Munich, the team wants him to be ready for that. Along with Balde, Jules Kounde, who had featured in every game for Barcelona this season, has already been ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
FC Bayern Munich are the most successful team in Bundesliga history with 34 German Championship titles. Here are the teams with most Bundesliga titles.
The Bundesliga is the top-division tournament in German football. The competition was founded in 1962, and the first season began in 1963. The Bundesliga replaced the German national championship, which was the first tournament in German football history. And since then only one club has dominated with most Bundesliga titles.
The German national championship, which was founded in 1903 and ran for 60 years, was a knockout competition contested between winners of each of the country's top regional leagues.
The founding member teams of the Bundesliga are 1860 Munich, Cologne, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Braunschweig, Eintracht Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hertha Berlin, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe, Preußen Münster, MSV Duisburg, Nuremberg, Saarbrücken, Schalke, Vfb Stuttgart and Werder Bremen.
Bayer Leverkusen became the 13th team to win the Bundesliga title in the 2023-24 season.
Besides the Bundesliga, which operated in West Germany, the DDR-Oberliga was the top-level football league in Soviet-controlled East Germany. Following the reunification of Germany, the Bundesliga became the national league of the country.
The Bundesliga started as a 16-team tournament but would soon expand to 18 teams from 1965.
In a one-off event, the league played the 1991-92 season with 20 teams following the reunification, but would return to its 18-team format in the following campaign.
There have been 13 different winners of the Bundesliga since its inception in 1963.
FC Koln, or FC Cologne in English, won the first-ever Bundesliga season in 1963-64. The Billy Goats maintained a six-point advantage over second-placed Meidericher SV (39) and scored in each of the 30 league games played in the inaugural edition.
Karl-Heinz Thielen (16 goals) and Christian Müller (15 goals) finished as the top scorers for the team in the championship-winning season.
Who has won the most Bundesliga titles?
Bayern Munich lead the Bundesliga winners list with 34 titles. The Bavarians won their maiden Meisterschale in the 1968-69 season, with an eight-point cushion and legendary forward Gerd Muller contributing 30 goals. They are the most dominant German team and have won the most Bundesliga titles.
The Bavarians recently claimed the Bundesliga 2024-25 title with two games to go in the season. In doing so, Bayern have now won the German championship a record 12 times in the last 13 seasons. Their incredible run began in 2012-13 under the management of Jupp Heynckes, which was broken in the 2023-24 season by Bayer Leverkusen.
Top Five Teams with the Most Bundesliga titles till 2023

Bayern Munich also holds the record for most second-place finishes in the top German league, having done that ten times between 1969 and 2012.
There is no doubt that they are the most dominant force in Germany and one of the most historic clubs in the history of World Football. The Bavarians have also won 20 DFB-Pokal trophies and 6 Champions League titles.

Borussia Dortmund, a 113-year-old German club, is second on the list of clubs with the most Bundesliga titles.

There has always been a soft spot for Dortmund in every football fan's heart, except the fans of Bayern.
In the 2022-23 season, they were the favourites to win the titles but bottled it on the last day. Dortmund won their last Bundesliga title under Jurgen Klopp in the 2011-12 season.
Titles by years: 1994–1995; 1995–1996; 2001–2002; 2010–11; and 2011–12

Their last league title came in the 1982-83 season under Ernst Happel, who won his second title with the club.

Until the 2017–18 season, HSV were the only club to have played continuously in the Bundesliga since its foundation.
