Liverpool were 0-1 down just 3 minutes into the match but after the equaliser of Luis Diaz, the Reds turned up to their full potential. Salah missed the spot kick but scored from the rebound to get the lead and then Jota put the cherry on top in the second half to secure all the important three points. The only concern for Klopp will be that their marquee summer signing Alexis Mac Allister will miss the next couple of games for the red card. Premier League 2023-23: Liverpool vs Bournemouth Match Report

First Half:

Jaidon Anthony had a goal ruled out for offside inside the opening minute, shortly before Semenyo put Bournemouth ahead. The visitors won possession high up the pitch and the loose ball fell for Semenyo, who didn't make a mistake and scored past Alisson. Liverpool took some time to gain control of the game.

Dominik Szoboszlai had a terrific game as he was seen everywhere on the pitch. He and Alexander-Arnold were involved in producing the equaliser. Jota received the ball from Trent and delivered a cut-back towards Diaz. The Colombian took a brilliant touch on the ball and scored a volley that went past Neto.

Eight minutes later, Klopp's side led through Salah. Szoboszlai bullied Joe Rothwell and got fouled. Salah's spot-kick was saved by Neto but reacted quickly to convert the rebound. Liverpool got the lead in the 36th minute and tried to extend their lead but the first half ended with a 2-1 scoreline.

Second Half:

Liverpool started after the break looking dangerous. But the Reds' momentum was stopped only for some moments by Mac Allister's 58th-minute red card incident. Just after four minutes, Liverpool extended their lead by 3-1 and almost secured the three points. Jota was the scorer with a classic poacher's finish. Neto couldn't hold on to Szoboszlai's deflected daisy-cutter from 20 yards and Jota capitalizes the chance.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Liverpool remained the more threatening team in the match. Endo made his debut and had a pretty good time on the pitch for the Reds. Alisson had to make a couple of outstanding stops in the closing stages to but it never worried the fans and Klopp as they claim all three points at Anfield.
