Manchester United vs Everton is the next match in the Premier League on Saturday at the Goodison Park.

Manchester United vs Everton: Match Preview:

Everton, fresh from their defeat at Burnley to increase fears of a first-ever relegation, host a Manchester United side whose race looks run in terms of Champions League qualification.

Quite how Goodison Park will welcome an Everton team in such dire straits remains to be seen. A cauldron at its best, Frank Lampard's team will need all the home support they can get given their pitiful away form.

United, meanwhile, look set to appoint Erik Ten Hag ahead of next season. Until that point, however, Ralf Rangnick has to at least try and get his side in a position to pounce should Arsenal or Tottenham slip up in the battle for the top four.

Team News:

Manchester United:

As for Man United, Cristiano Ronaldo was absent against Leicester last weekend due to illness, but the Portugal international has been back training this week and should be in the starting XI here.

Jesse Lingard has also trained this week after being unwell before the clash with the Foxes, but Luke Shaw had to be substituted last weekend due to a leg injury, so Alex Telles could return to the starting XI.

Man United will also definitely be without the services of Edinson Cavani due to a calf problem, while Mason Greenwood remains unavailable due to a club suspension.

Rangnick could hand Marcus Rashford a spot in the front three alongside Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho, with Paul Pogba, who continues to be linked with an Old Trafford exit, likely to be the player to drop out in an attacking area, while Anthony Elanga may also drop to the bench.

Everton:

Everton will again be without the services of Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Tom Davies, Andros Townsend and Nathan Patterson through injury, while Donny van de Beek is ineligible against his parent club.

Lampard will make changes from the loss at Burnley, with Seamus Coleman potentially coming back into the side at right-back, but Vitaliy Mykolenko should retain his spot at left-back this weekend.
