Nadia Nadim is an inspiration to the whole world after looking at the story of her life, simply no one can hate such a wonderful woman like her. She was just 11 years old when her father was killed by the Taliban force. Struggling at a young age Nadia landed in Denmark where she started her career in football.
After her huge success in football, Nadia Nadim again added another achievement to her bag of glory. As she recently got her specialization in reconstructive surgery from Denmark's Aarhus University. And that too while playing football which is truly remarkable.
Not only that Nadia is also fluent in 11 languages and is the ambassador of an NGO called the Danish Refugee Council; Which helps in securing sustainable solutions for refugees and displaced people.
Nadia Nadim: The Inspiration to All
She was born in Afghanistan's Herat on 2 January 1988. Nadia Nadim used to live with her parents and four sisters in an area alongside the president's family. However, in 2000, the Taliban executed her father, who was a general of the Afghan National Army.
This situation forced Her and her family to fly away to Denmark via Italy. It was in Denmark where she was fascinated by the game of football and since then she has been very fond of the game. "Football saved me from being this poor outsider kid and made me get accepted," she told Vogue.
Her Football Career
Nadia Nadim currently has 98 international caps for Denmark. She also represented Paris Saint-Germain last season, where she scored 18 goals in 27 games to help her side lift the Division 1 title.
As a fact, Nadia is the only player of a different origin to be selected as a part of the Danish National Team; Where she is now a senior player. Also voted as the 'player of the year' in 2016 and 2017 in Denmark.
She has also played for Manchester City, Portland Thorns, and Fortuna Hjørring, among other league teams.
