Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry, the two highest goalscorers in the league's history, were the first inductees in 2021.

The intention is to honour retired players who have "an exceptional record on-pitch success and have shown significant contribution to the league".

The vote for Premier League Hall of Fame 2022 will be decided by a combination of nominations from fans and from the Premier League Awards Panel. Supporters can select six out of 25 players and the vote will close on 3 April.
