Premier League News: Maguire and Bruno win it for United, keep the "top 4" hope alive

In the latest Premier League news, Manchester United came back strongly from 2-2 to 4-2 vs Leeds to secure the win for the Red Devils. With the win, Man Utd jumps up to 4th place with 46 points to their name. Just 4 points separating Chelsea and Manchester United, the competition is again on for Rangnick's side.

Premier League News: The first half of the match.

The first half of the match was full of opportunities but Manchester United got the better hold of it. However, the match started with Leeds getting the early chance to take the lead in the 4th minute but Jack Harrison bolted his shot over the crossbar. Manchester United got their share of chances around the 8th minute with Pogba trying to look from a distance, which the Leeds goalkeeper saved. Just 10 minutes later Manchester United got the opening goal after Maguire connected with the header perfectly from the corner to take the scoreline to 1-0. At the brink of halftime, the other Portuguese doubled the lead for the Red Devils; with a sleek header from the lobbed pass from Sancho.

The 2nd half of Comebacks

Into the next half, Cristiano Ronaldo again got an early chance but it was deemed to be offside. However, Leeds pulled off a shocker in the 53rd minute of the match; as Rodrigo's initial attempt for a cross ended up in the goal beating the custodian De Gea. Just a minute later Leeds came back strongly with the equalizing goal after Daniel James beautifully found Raphinha; Who made no mistake to put it past the Manchester United defence. The introduction of the Brazilian midfielder Fred was very helpful; as he gave Manchester United the much-needed lead after leading from 2-0 to go down to 2-2.

At the 70-minute mark, Fred puts the ball in the back of the net after another sleek pass from Sancho. Leeds United again got their chances in the final moments of the game however failed to get on any of them. But Manchester United on the other hand sealed the game for themselves; as a substitute, Elanga scored the 4th goal to ensure the win for the Red Devils. With this win, Manchester United is back in the grasp of a top 4 i.e a spot in the Champions League.
