Premier League News: Spurs stuns City in a Harry Kane special game

In the latest premier league news, Tottenham takes down Manchester City in a 3-2 thriller. The star performer of this match is none other than Harry Kane. So now Manchester City is back within range for Liverpool to chase down. As the point differences now came down to 6 points bearing in mind that Liverpool FC has one extra game in hand. 

The first half progression

The match started in an already fiery atmosphere with both the teams getting the chances early in the game. However, Tottenham was more clinical in terms of attacking. Just inside the 2-minute mark Tottenham splits open the City defence. Harry Kane finds Min Son in a wide-open space which allows him to make the run. Luckily, the newly signed Dejan Kulusevski was there to receive the pass from Heung-min Son to slip it between the legs of Joao Cancello.

However, Pep Guardiola's side did not step back as they put an all-out attack but unfortunately they missed all their chances. The city's best chance came at the 20th min mark when Gundogan found space to take a shot which unfortunately hit the post. But surprisingly, it was the same player who got the equaliser at the 33rd-minute mark. Hugo Lloris mistimes the cross from Sterling which lands onto the path of Gundogan, who makes no mistake to make it 1-1.

Premier League News: The intense second half

In the second half, Tottenham and Manchester City both looked goal-hungry as chances kept coming towards them. But it was The Spurs again who got the better edge of the match, Around the 60-minute mark, Kane put in a brilliant shot after Son found him with a beautiful opening to give Tottenham the lead. With time running out and winning hopes slipping away; Manchester City managed to win a Penalty right at the 90 minute mark. Mahrez brought City back to life as he put it in the top corner, out of Lloris's reach. 

Well, that wasn't the end of the match, the goal machine Harry Kane again comes under the spotlight; as he swirls past the City defence to meet the cross from Kulusevski; to find the back of the net with an amazing header, giving Tottenham the lead and a nail-biting 2-3 victory.
