Premier League Stats: Man City players leading all charts in Goals, assists, passes, and clean sheets

It is time to look at the Premier League Stats as an unsurprising stat has once again popped up with Manchester City players leading all charts in Goals, assists, passes and clean sheets.

The sheer genius of one, Pep Guardiola is once again on full display as his complete football is once again unmatched especially after the addition of Erling Haaland.

Haaland has dominated the scoring charts with 11 goals in 7 matches. Pundits and fans alike were initially talking about Haaland scoring around 30 goals.

But if he keeps scoring at this pace, Haaland might break the all-time British scoring record of 60 goals scored in a league season by Dixie Dean in the 1927-28 season.

The almost trademarked assist king of the Premier League, Kevin De Bruyne leading the assist charts once again with 6 assists in 7 appearances.

De Bruyne leading the assists table is no surprise, especially after the signature of Erling Haaland. This duo of Haaland and De Bruyne is going to be talked about for years to come.

No wonder, Real Madrid hero Iker Casillas has included Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson in his list of top five current goalkeepers. When you are recognized by one of the all-time greatest Goalkeepers, you must be a top Goalkeeper in all aspects.

Ederson has been showing his excellent outings to the fans for years now, including this season. 4 cleans sheets in 7 matches in a great early run of form for the Brazilian superstar.

Manchester City's Rodri has appeared in every one of the team's seven Premier League matches in 2022/2023, having been selected in the starting XI in all seven.

The last league match that Rodri played came on September 17 for Manchester City versus Wolverhampton Wanderers; a game that he played 81 minutes in during a 3-0 success. This season the midfielder has provided two Premier League assists.

Last season for Manchester City, Rodri made 33 Premier League appearances, scored seven goals and provided two assists. So Pep's midfield general leading the passing stats is also given.

It worked a treat in Seville and did so again against Wolves, the new front three of Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden seems to be a winner for Manchester City. All three found the back of the net in the win over Wolves.

Questions started to be asked about Grealish following his poor display against Borussia Dortmund but he took a big step in answering them against Wolves.

His goal contribution stats are not the be-all and end-all but to get on the score sheet within 55 seconds was certainly a confidence booster.
