Neymar has revealed how he copes with sustained boos from his own supporters at Paris Saint-Germain, and outlined his hopes for the Qatar 2022World Cup with Brazil later this year.
The Selecao star has come under fire at club level this term, and has often found himself a scapegoat for vocal sections of the team's fanbase over their European failings, in an extraordinarily combative relationship.
Now, the Brazilian has spoken on how he deals with the issue, as well as touching on the amplification of the problem produced by social media.
Of course nobody wants to be booed, even more if you're playing at home," Neymar told Flamengo player Diego Ribas in a live discussion. "It's sad, but I had to find strength somewhere.
Neymar will be playing his last FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year (Image- Sports Light Media)
"I remembered all people who helped me get to where I am now, and I try to play for them. I can't let myself be affected by boos and let my family down. There are matches when you can play for the fans, when everything's alright. Then there's booing, and I hold myself to my family.
" Social media... I guess it hurts more than it helps. Because if you play well and go read about it there, it's all good news and smiles. But when you don't play well, it's not good for your head. If there's nobody to help you overcome these times, it's pretty tough. Social media is a very dangerous thing nowadays."
With another Ligue 1 title to his name now, Neymar's next chance to land major silverware will be at the end of the year, when Brazil head to Qatar 2022 - and with two prior World Cup tournaments under his belt now, the Selecao star is determined to be third time lucky."I really wanted to win the Champions League for PSG this time, but unfortunately we couldn't," he added. "Now I want to finish 2022 with the World Cup title."
"I'm preparing myself both physically and mentally so that everyone goes well, and we have a 'Brazilian World Cup' this time. I'll give my life for it, I've played it two times now and I know how it works. If you're not ready, the opportunity will go away, so I can't let it escape me."

Liverpool has turned the tables beautifully in recent times. They were a great force in the European competition but suddenly went numb. Liverpool had a rough patch where they went trophyless for many years. With the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as manager, Liverpool slowly redeemed themselves. In the 2017-18 season, they reached the UCL finals but failed to win against Real Madrid.
Next season they came back stronger, from a 3-0 defeat in the first leg to win 4-0 in the second leg and knocked Barcelona out of the UCL semis. Liverpool went on to be the champions defeating Spurs by 2-0 in the all-English final to win their 6th UCL trophy. Their great comeback against Milan in 2005 at Istanbul still gives goosebumps to every football fan.

A few years later Luis Enrique guided them to their 5th UCL title and also a treble. That was Barcelona's last high run in the UCL. After that, they have faced some problems and have not been able to continue their dominance in European football.
AFC Ajax has a great history. They are the only team to win the UCL 4 times which is not from the top 5 leagues. Football maestro Johan Cruyff was from this team, he later changed the definition of playing football. Introducing Tiki-taka football to the world, Ajax had a great run in the past. He later influenced Barcelona to play that type of football which brought them huge success in the end.

Since then they have reached the UCL semifinal in 2019 upsetting big teams and then lost to the Spurs in the semifinal in the dying minutes. Internazionale won two of their three trophies back in the 1960s. Since then, they have been having a disappointing year in and year out. Their recent UCL title was in 2009-10 when Jose Mourinho took charge. They were not the favourites in that season, yet they went on to win the UCL.
Jose Mourinho at that time was emerging as one of the best coaches in the world. He played typical defensive football, frustrating his opponents, which created mistakes. They capitalised on those mistakes and went on to win their 3rd Champions League. They defeated the heavyweights Barcelona in the semis and Bayern Munich in the final to clinch their title.

Superstitions!
Inter Milan are wearing their third kit because the blue and black of their first kit clash with PSG's colors.
They reportedly decided to wear their yellow third kit as they've lost twice in their second kit this season 😅 pic.twitter.com/SzvRY1aPhH
Interestingly, this would be the first time both PSG and Inter Milan would face each other in their history. Imagine, you are playing a team for the first time, and that too, in a Champions League final.

Final thoughts!
Arsenal dominated the first 15 minutes, but after that, it was all about PSG at their home.
Luis Enrique has done a tremendous job with PSG and created leaders in different positions.
Donnarumma has been a beast under the post. Hakimi, with 21 goal contributions, is now one of the best. Vitniha, Neves and Marquinhos are one of the best in their positions as well.
Dembele is running for a potential Ballon d'Or finish. So, the credit should go to Enrique for all his efforts.
Arsenal had their chances, but they failed to take them. Saka did score but missed one as well.
So, it will be Inter Milan vs PSG in the final in Munich. Thank you for staying up with us.
Good night, and I will see you on 1st June in the final. Till then, take care and enjoy football.
Arsenal dominated the first 15 minutes of the game. But saves from Donnarumma made sure PSG did not concede any before Fabian Ruiz scored a screamer to hand PSG the lead.
Will Arsenal be able to make a match out of it, like Barcelona did last night?
Or, PSG are heading to Munich?
We'll see that after the break.
