Jesús Navas, the Spanish Veteran, who became the oldest player ever to represent Spain has now become the only player who has won the World Cup, the European Championship and most recently, the Nations League.
Jesus Navas's exceptional yet unusual career
At the age of 37, he won his 47th international cap for Spain against Italy in the Nations League semi final which made him the oldest Spanish player to play for his country.
The Spanish Veteran made his senior international debut against Argentina in 2009. He was part of the squad and helped Spain in their World Cup and European Championship triumph.
Unfortunately, he was not a part of Spain's squad for the next two World Cups, despite winning trophies at Manchester City. Then after 6 years of absence from the Spanish side, he again got called up to play for his country in the Euro qualifying matches, he was 33 at the time. The Spanish Veteran again got dropped from the squad for 3 years until Luis de la Fuente, the new manager of Spain called him up to be the part of the squad, again.
His recent performances in the UEFA Europa League got him the call up. He helped Sevilla to win their 7th Europa title, more than any European team and also became the UEFA Europa League Player of the Season.
The Sevilla right back was not just a name in the squad, the new manager has given him a place in the starting XI too. The Spanish Veteran has played in every minute of the game between Italy and Croatia, in the semi final and final match respectively, showing everyone that he still got some serious game time in him at the age of 37.
He helped Spain in winning their first Nations League trophy and became the only player ever to win The World Cup, the European Championship and the Nations League, no player in the history of the game has ever done it.
