Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel lifted the UEFA Champions League a few days back and is getting his rewards already. Chelsea rewarded Thomas Tuchel with a new deal that runs until 2024.
The German replaced Frank Lampard after a disappointing first half of the season in January. Tuchel was straight into business leading Chelsea into the FA cup final after defeating Manchester City in the semis. Although they lost the final to Leicester City 1-0 it was a huge confidence boost for the blues. The German also secured a top-four finish for the blues, which seemed unlikely at the first half of the season.
Thomas Tuchel signed an 18-month deal with the blues at the beginning of his reign. Now Tuchel has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea after guiding the club to champions league glory.
"I cannot imagine a better occasion for a contract renewal. I am grateful for the experience and very happy to stay part of the Chelsea family," Tuchel told Chelsea's official website on Friday.
"There is far more to come and we are looking forward to our next steps with ambition and much anticipation." he further added.
