The players who saw the biggest increases either improved dramatically in status and performances over the course of the season or were unheard of before this campaign until they had a big breakthrough, players with the most increment in transfer value had an uplifting season establishing themselves as stars.

Naturally, it is younger players who see their values increase the most and in the top 10 biggest increases across Europe, the oldest player is just 25.

Big transfers, especially in January, can also boost values rapidly, and two players in the top 10 moved clubs in the winter window.

We've listed the 10 players with the most increment in transfer value in 2021-22, ranked by how much their Transfermarkt value has increased over the season.

10. Matheus Nunes:

The 23-year-old Sporting Club de Portugal central midfielder has seen his stock rise rapidly this season, and a run to the knockout stages of the Champions League will have certainly helped.

Rated at just £4.5million at the start of the season, Nunes is now valued at £27million, an increase of £22.5million in a very short space of time.

With some of Europe's giants reportedly sniffing around, his value is surely only going to shoot up further.

9. Karim Adeyemi:

A striker from RB Salzburg, Adeyemi has been compared to Erling Haaland thanks to his incredible eye for goal in the Champions League.

Now valued at £31.5million, with an increase of £22.5million, it was the 2021-22 Champions League group stage that helped put the 20-year-old on the map.

With 21 goals and five assists this season, as well as some incredible displays of pace and skill, Adeyemi may even follow Haaland's same path to Borussia Dortmund to replace him. Big pressure.

8. Yeremy Pino:

Villarreal are having an incredible season having knocked out Juventus and Bayern Munich en route to their second-ever Champions League semi-final, and even then they've managed to give minutes to youngsters.

Yeremy Pino broke out at the end of the 2020-21 season and started as Villarreal beat Manchester United in the Europa League final, but this campaign has been the making of him.

A £22.5million rise has seen his value shoot up to £36million. As well as earning his first senior Spain call-up at the age of 19, Pino really made his mark in a remarkable display against Espanyol in La Liga, scoring an astonishing four goals in one game.

7. Rafael Leao:

AC Milan sit on top of Serie A, and Rafael Leao's performances have played a huge part in getting them there.

The 22-year-old winger, who was already valued at £22.5million before this season, has seen his value double to £45million.

If the Rossoneri manage to win their first title since 2011, then this will likely shoot up even further.

6. Florian Wirtz:

When Bayer Leverkusen lost Kai Havertz to Chelsea in 2020, little did they know they would produce someone with even greater potential.

The 18-year-old playmaker Florian Wirtz is destined for the very top, and his value increased by £22.5million to reach a whopping £63million.

That number could even double within the next year, which is the scariest thing.

5. Luis Diaz:

The Colombian winger is now Merseyside's answer to Neymar, and his January switch to Liverpool from Porto helped his value rise by £24.5million to £40.5million. And this figure is a lot lower than it should be, if you ask us…

4. Arnaut Danjuma:

Another Villarreal player to benefit from their remarkable European run, Danjuma joined the Yellow Submarine in 2021 from Bournemouth and has not looked back.

An increase in value of £31.5million now sees his value at £45million, and with some of Europe's biggest clubs circulating, Unai Emery will be nervous about losing one of the biggest talents in his squad.

At 25, Danjuma is the oldest player on this list, but with 10 La Liga goals in his debut season in Spain, he is only going to get better.

3. Dusan Vlahovic:

The Serbian powerhouse striker attracted plenty of interest in Serie A thanks to his goalscoring exploits for Fiorentina in 2021, and after being linked with Arsenal for an eternity, the 22-year-old moved to Juventus in January.

A goal within a minute of his Champions League debut against Villarreal helped his value rise further, and overall he has seen an increase of £40.5million and is now valued at £76.5million.

A current and future star.

2. Gavi:

Perhaps the most stunning rise on this list, 17-year-old Gavi only made his senior debut at the start of this season and is now a mainstay for Barcelona and a full Spain International.

With a value increase from zero to £54million, Gavi is already showing world-class talent, and the future at Barcelona looks bright.

You imagine the Catalan club will consider extending his contract, which expires in 2023, a top priority.

1. Vinicius Junior:

Real Madrid's star boy has exploded into one of the best players in the world this season, and Vinicius is now playing a starring role alongside Karim Benzema.

Eighteen goals and 18 assists this campaign has seen his value rise from £36million to £90million, and the 21-year-old has the potential to become a Real Madrid great.

" Ancelotti always asks me to score more goals and to be focused on the game," Vinicius stated in October.

"Sometimes I'm not successful and he always shouts from the bench 'I'm gonna take you off!' to make me stay focused."

It seems Don Carlo's tactics have paid off for the Brazilian.
