The 18-year-old made her debut for the US national women's team at the age of 17 in a friendly match against England at Wembley. She's one of the most promising young talents in the world right now and was right to get picked in the squad of 23 players for the World Cup.

She plays for Angel City FC as a forward player and will be playing in the same position for USA too. With Megan Rapinoe retiring from international football after the World Cups, she is expected to replace her. After doing it in the U-20 tournaments for USA and she is looking to have a great impact in the World Cups too.

The Japanese forward made her debut for the senior team in 2019, at the age of 19. Since then she has played 32 games, which is an achievement in itself. She has mostly come off the bench in Nadeshiko's side but is likely to be a starter in this year's World Cup because of some notable absentees in the front.

The Angel City player will be looking to win Japan their second ever World Cup trophy and is likely to become the most emerging player of the tournament with the talent she has got.

Niamh Charles, England

The Chelsea defender is set to make her World Cup debut in the summer and would look to impress the whole world. She made her senior England debut in 2021 but missed the Women's Euro call-up by whisker. But this time around she did make the cut because of an outstanding domestic season with the Blues and will be looking to have a great impact.

She's in our top 5 young players to watch out for list because of the the progress she has shown in the last season or so. At such a young age, she has over 100 combined appearances for Liverpool and Chelsea, which shows how much of a baller she is. She would look to bring the trophy "home" for England.

Jody Brown, Jamaica

The Jamaican born forward is the only player on the list who has a World Cup appearance under her belt. She has earned her a place in the  CONCACAF Women's Best XI. So she has been a clear choice for the coach, to be included in the squad.

Her pairing with Jamaica's all time goalscorer Khadija Shaw would be worth looking forward to. With Shaw playing as a lone striker, she has been dropping into the midfield and playing the no. 10 position. If Jamaica wants to succeed in this World Cup, this pairing needs to work well.

Linda Caicedo, Colombia

Linda Caicedo's football career has skyrocketed in recent months. Signing for Real Madrid was a special milestone in her fledgling career and has developed significantly, both personally and professionally. She would be on the spotlight when Columbia gets on the pitch.

Caicedo will be looking to win Columbia their first piece of silverware in the World Cups but her first objective would be to play the quarter finals for the very first time. It would be very challenging for the 18-year-old to get out of the group stages with Germany drawn in their group but it would be interesting to see how she plays.
